Abbotsford – Sir Walter Scott’s baronial gem in the Borders – is currently undergoing a major redevelopment project to renovate the historic house, conserve Scott’s collections, build brand new visitor facilities and create a permanent exhibition on Scotland’s most important man-of-letters.

Whilst the historic house is undergoing renovation, our knowledgeable House Guides are getting out and about in the Borders sharing our plans for the site and all the latest developments with lively talks to clubs, groups and societies.

We are taking bookings for 2012/2013 and would like to hear from anyone who is currently putting together a programme of activities for members. Our talks focus on the history of Scott, Abbotsford and all the exciting developments on the site and can be tailor-made to your group’s interests. They can last between 45-60 minutes depending on the time available and are fully illustrated with a slide show.
