Essential ongoing restoration work at Abbotsford is under the control of our architects Todd & Taylor and is being expertly carried out by John Laidlaw & Sons Ltd of Jedburgh. Their talented builders, stonemasons and scaffolders will shortly complete the work on our East wall in the Morris garden while the complicated work on the Bartizan (end turret) will continue for sometime yet. We hope that our visitors and supporters will bear with us whilst this essential conservation and restoration work is carried out. The Abbotsford Trustees would like to take this opportunity to thank Historic Scotland who continue to provide financial support and encouragement, and whose involvement has made this project possible.
