The library fascinated me then and no doubt will still do so. I do hope that one will be able - perhaps wearing gloves - to handle and read the books. It is such a pity that in many old libraries one cannot - at Abbotsford, to handle a book that Sir Walter had read or referred to would be an experience indeed.
